MORE ON TRAVEL BASKETBALL

The Tampa Bay Bounty Hunters is a licensed AAU organization, and we compete in both AAU and non-AAU sponsored events.  All athletes are covered under the organization's Sports Accident insurance and General Liability insurance.   We travel together and stay together as a team when on the road. The families of athletes must make their own arrangements. For events that require an overnight stay and or airfare, the costs will be calculated and agreed upon with staff, parents and players before registering. Tournament season is typically March through August.  However, we play basketball year-round.  Because the vast majority of our players also play for their respective high school and middle schools, the regular season of travel ball will begin immediately following the school season.  But during the school season we are focusing on conditioning and skills development which will complement their school's efforts quite nicely.

All athletes must be a member of the AAU before joining the team (we will help you with that). 

*AAU Membership is required to participate in all AAU licensed events.

Disclaimer: Travel basketball, in general, offers an intensity and competition level that you will not find at the middle school or high school level.  It also requires a significant time commitment.  Teams have no control over tournament dates and often times will take the team out of town for days at a time.  If you, as a parent, or your child do not have the ability to make such a commitment, travel ball may not be the best fit.
